Herman Cain is Bad for America and not a Conservative

Herman Cain just won the Florida GOP Straw Poll because Rick Perry gave an abysmal performance and his supporters needed someone to believe in.  Herman Cain was one of the only candidates who stayed and spoke at the Straw Poll (Perry, Romney, and Paul did not speak).  He was able to use rhetoric to motivate people into voting for him.  However, these delegates who voted for Herman Cain were not given the opportunity to scrutinize his record like they did for Perry and Romney.  Because Romney and Perry were frontrunners we were able to research and dig into their past finding a plethora of really bad things they had done in the past.

In a spirit of truth, below are some really bad things that Herman Cain has done.  We are hopeful that these things will be used during discussions in other states and by the other presidential candidates when articulating their opinion about Herman Cain.

Former Federal Reserve Chairman:
In a time when the Tea Party is prominent and people are waking up more and more to the uncontrolled Federal Reserve, the banker bailouts, the sky rocketing inflation, the banker foreclosure crisis, and the tinkering economy, it is not very wise for people to choose a former Federal Reserve Chairman as President.  This is the last credential one would want to see on a candidates resume at a time like this.  However, Herman Cain was the Kansas City Fed Chairman between 1992-1996.  This is a totally critical association that people need to wake up to before voting for Herman Cain.

Herman Cain is Against Congress Auditing the Federal Reserve:
In the first part of this video Herman Cain shows his position on the Federal Reserve and whether or not we need to audit it.  He obviously doesn't understand that Congress is the body which has authority in the Constitution to issue money and appropriate funds.  Later, after receiving tons of flak from Audit the Fed supporters, Herman Cain flip flops and starts supporting Ron Paul's auditing of the Fed.  This shows that in a matter of weeks he flips flops on the most important issue our nation is facing today - the economy and sound money policies.  Because of this flip-flopping and his past time as a Federal Reserve Chairman, it is pretty obvious we cannot trust Herman Cain to do anything about the Federal Reserve if elected president.  Here is the video.

999 Plan Adds a New Tax:
It is horrible because it add a NEW TAX while only lowering the existing taxes.  Instead of abolishing other taxes and implementing the new tax, he adds a new tax promising it will only stay at 9%.  History has proven that these new taxes do not stay at the initial percentages used when selling the tax and quickly jump to 20%-30%.  The income tax was initially only supposed to be 1-2% but now it is 20-30% (estimate).  For you Christians out there, I don't know if you feel comfortable that 999 upside down is 666 - I had a couple people mention that this made them feel uncomfortable at the GOP Straw Poll in Florida.

Supported TARP:
Cain wrote an article supporting TARP.  Here is the link to the article.  Can we trust anyone who folds like a blade of grass giving billions and trillions of dollars to whomever wants it?  I think not.  Here is an article where he admits his support for TARP could be a problem.  Here is a video where Cain was confronted about his support for TARP.

Herman Cain's Enron-Type Corruption Scandal:
Herman Cain often mentions how he is such a great businessman and that we should put a businessman in the White House.  Would you put a corrupt businessman in the White House?  Herman Cain was involved in illegal actions when on the Aquila Board of Directors defrauding millions of dollars in stock from the Aquila shareholders.  This scandal was likened to an Enron-esque Disaster that has Herman Cain's management fingerprints all over it.  Why would we trust a guy who oversaw such a corrupt and fraudulent operation?  Here is the link to the story.

Admits His Own Plan Won't Work:
Here is a video where Herman Cain admits his plan won't work.  Why then would we trust this guy to fix the problems we are in?

Previously Endorsed Moderate Mitt Romney:
Back in 2008,  Herman Cain endorsed Mitt Romney.  He has establishment written all over him.  Since Cain's political record is so unclear, I don't think it is wise to vote for someone unknown who also endorsed Mitt Romney.  If he endorsed a conservative or someone more credible than Romney, it wouldn't be as much of a red flag, but Romney is highly controversial in conservative circles.  Cain clearly shows his true colors with this endorsement.  Here is Herman Cain's own letter why he supported Mitt Romney.

Has No Plan for Afghanistan:
Given that we are in a war and our nation needs a better strategy or simply an all-out withdrawal from our current wars, Herman Cain admits he has no plan for Afghanistan.  This was Cain's response to Chris Wallace when asked about his plan: "The right approach is: the day I'm elected president, I will start on that plan such that the day I was sworn in, I will be able to implement the plan."  This is absolutely horrendous.  A presidential candidate needs to have thought these things out before deciding to run for office.  Here is the transcript.

Supports the Patriot Act:
The fourth amendment of the US Constitution clearly prohibits warrant-less searches and guarantees that Americans have the right to be secure in their persons and papers.  Yet Herman Cain supports spying on American citizens without due process and supports the Patriot Act.  We cannot trust a man who is not 100% loyal to the Constitution.  Here is the link to the article.

Please also watch this video from scholar Tom Woods who does a great job explaining why Herman Cain is not good:

10 OCT 2011 - New
Since we have gotten several thousand hits on this article,  we are adding a few more issues with Herman Cain.

Security and Peace Partnership - North American Union
Herman Cain represented Whirlpool at the anti-US North American Union-esque Security and Peace Partnership summit in Canada in 2007.  This is a deal breaker for anyone who knows anything about the global plan for a New World Order and the integral role the North American Union plays for the elite.  Herman Cain participated in this process by his attendance at this meeting that was blacked out by most major news outlets.  Unbelievable connection here for anyone that is awake.  This is a serious association.

Herman Cain the Lobbyist
In the 1990's, Herman Cain served as the CEO of the National Restaurant Association PAC - a lobbying firm whose job it was to lobby congress and politicians for political favors for the restaurant industry.  This is the same principle as the banker bailouts, the auto bailouts, or any other favored company or industry that gets bailed out by the Federal Government.  Herman Cain was a lobbyist.  We do not need these types of people in the oval office.  We need someone who will get rid of this corporatist favoritism culture.

Unprofessional Statements
Herman Cain is a gaffe machine who constantly makes statements that undermine his professionalism and credibility with the American people.  In once instance he stated that 2/3rds of African Americans are brainwashed into not being conservatives.  Another instance, he called Ron Paul a grumpy old man.  He also said Ron Paul supporters' concerns were "stupid" over his past time at the Federal Reserve - a concern that Rasmussen says 75% American share (reference auditing the Fed).  He also made religiously charged statements that Muslims must prove themselves to work for Herman Cain.  Herman Cain is a gaffe machine that continuously makes statements that are unprofessional and unbecoming of the next commander in chief.  Think about it, do you want this guy representing us in nuclear talks with Russia or China?  Or discussing trade with China when he can't even communicate effectively with the American people?

Constitutional Ignorance
Herman Cain tells the audience that we need to reread the Constitution.  Then proceeds to quote the Declaration of Independence.  This my friends is a prime example of a fraud.

  1. It's not just that his 999 plan is a failure waiting to happen. The real issue is this is another flip flop. He started out as a big Fair Tax supporter and got a lot of support from at least our local Fair Tax group. Now that he sees it is not helping his campaign he all of sudden has a new plan.

  3. Herman Cain is a zionist israel loving neocon. He has never stepped foot in DC so how can he run it? At least Ron Paul has been in the government for three decades, he know how it works.

Yea, so his position in the Federal Reserve wasn't in the part of it that had anything to do with monetary policy, the sheep don't need to know that- it is the FED after all... the three evil letters.

Yea, so his TARP position is being spun and he spoke out against it strongly- we can continue to point out that one statement that will look bad to the sheep.

Yea, so what he is pro life, has he ever delivered a baby? Dr. Paul has!

Yea, so his 999 plan would result in lower taxes and bureaucracy- the sheep don't know the difference between gross and net.

Herman Cain is no Ron Paul- we need a proven career politician like Ron Paul- not some outsider.

Ron Paul 2012- He is from the government and he is here to help!

  5. You are a jerk Anonymous- Ron Paul is chairman of the House Monetary Policy Committee for almost a year and look at all he has done to END THE FED... Ron Paul has... well.... he.. well, he said the word Fed a lot, that counts for something.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Yeah, cause one person on a committee can do something as big as end the Fed. Don't be ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Yea, you are right. We can't expect much from Dr. Paul. Just because he has the power to appoint an independent investigator- that doesn't mean he can do it. Just because as committee chair, he has the power to call for a special investigation, well that is just proof he shouldn't. Just because as committee chair, he can subpoena Uncle Ben to account for his actions, well of course having that power means he can't. Dr. Paul knows there are much more important things than his role as the committee chair and Ending the Fed. It is all tied together. Like going to the legalize Pot rally. That is way more important and will help End the Fed. Or running for President, that is way more important. After all, according to Dr. Paul's copy of the Constitution, that is where he can do all this by executive order- Congress isn't allowed to draft any legislation to do anything about the Fed.

Oh, ignore that he voted against his own End the Fed bill. Dr. Paul knows what's best. After all, you can't End the Fed through laws, investigations, or actions. You can only End the Fed by keeping it around and talking about it a lot.

Go Dr. Paul!!! He is from the government and he is here to help!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Screw you Anonymous. Ron Paul has done more than any member of congress in history. Ron Paul has passed more bills, reducing the size of government more than anyone. The Federeal Reserve is already Ended thanks to Ron Paul, people just don't realize it yet. They are all sheep. He has done all the things you claim he hasn't. He has called up independent investigators. He has had the Department of Justice raid the Federal Reserve. He has the leadership ability to convince everyone in congress he is right. THis is why need a career politician like Ron Paul. Not some outsider with just 'business' experience. We know that big business- corporatism, is EVIL! Ron Paul will end all corporations! Everyone will be free of work!

Also, who else has the guts to call out the government for being behind 9/11? No one but Ron Paul.

    I win the debate.

I thought only they took stories and spun them this badly? This story is so full of holes it shoots itself down. Clearly the author is a partisan Ron Paul supporter who will do anything to destroy Paul's competition. Paul has good monetary ideas, but is so clueless about any other subject that it scares most sane Americans. But have fun supporting your candidate who doesn't stand a chance of getting the nomination, let alone the office of POTUS.

These are just two articles concerning the work Congressman Paul has done toward shining the light on the fed.

Where have/do your candidate(s)stand/stood on this issue of vital importance to the economic health of a nation?

How people can have such disrespect for a man that has done nothing but uphold his oath of office by upholding the Constitution is beyond me.

I can only think that our nation has become a nation in which people have no respect for truth, rule of law, or that a man should respect another man for standing up for and by his principles.

Congressman Paul may not win the nomination, but it won't be due to any fault of his own. It would be due to a Nation that no longer respects the Constitution and one of the best defenders of the document that we have seen in the past 50 years.

If your comments had merit, they would be using them to beat Cain down! There is nothing wrong with working for the Fed! It's the person that controls what they do that is held responsible for the actions of the Fed. Had Cain been responsible for any controversial action, he would have been called out on it. Your comments about the 9-9-9 are more lies. The plan, which is being accepted more and more by the American people would replace all other taxes, not be added to them. The fact that we have the highest Corporate Income Tax, in the world, is one of the reasons we have and continue to lose jobs to other countries. Lowering the tax to 9% would preserve the jobs that remain and will bring many back home. As for your "flip flop" allegations, you have taken issues and twisted them around. I would love to debate you on any of these issues and have the results published. You just tell me how to reach you and we will get the show on the road! Back up what you say, which you can't do!

  18. What else is there to say except that since the founding of this nation there have been very few politicians that have been as consistent as Dr. Ron Paul, Congressman from Texas. He is the only current member of both Houses of Congress, who has consistently in every year that he has represented not only the people of his district, but all Americans, with his consistent and patriotic Constitutional-correct voting record. I have seen no others that can match his solid record of voting against every and all legislation that violates the precepts that the Framers intended, a perfect example being the Patriot Act, which is completely unconstitutional. Ron Paul has never flip-flopped on any of his votes.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Cain's 9-9-9 Plan:

It gives the devil yet one more tool to attack us with.

The national sales tax is suposed to collect tax from the bottom 1/2 that pays no income tax (without which the Republic can not survive politically)- but watch out for all the exemptions for things the "poor" buy and watch out for a "Fair Tax"-type "Prebate" which not only reimburses the poor for any sales tax they pay, but also gives them a great big net check to boot (it effectively expands current Income Tax "Refundable Tax Credits" for workers only (a welfare check as
it has nothing to do with one's taxes) and would give this welfare check to EVERYONE.

In order to prevent double tax, Cain's Income Tax should allow full credit for any Sales Tax paid - I am sure that will not be in his details.

Watch out for sneaky "Refundable Tax Credits" in Cain's new Income Tax.

Most of all, if you read Cain's campaign materials, it is obvious, that Cain has learned the tricks of the Left. He knows "FairTax" is dead (see House Ways and Means Committee Hearings of July 26, 2011 - video archived) and admiots that 9-9-9 is merely a stepping stone to the "Fair Tax" (it is a much easier leap to go from his national sales tax in 9-9-9 to the "Fair Tax" than is is to go from today's Income Tax to the "Fair Tax".

For a complete analysis on why the "Fair Tax" is so terribly awful (and thus Cain's judgment so bad) go to fairtaxblog.com - on the right side of the page see the 2nd item on the list, "Fair Tax-Relayed Resdearch" - click on that and go yo bottom of the page listing all the Papers to find Replacing the Income Tax.

While I agree with all the criticism of Cain, most of mareica are "zionist Israel lovers". As many Christians remind us, G-d made and EVERLASTING covenant with Abraham that the lands of Israel would forevery belong to his chosen people, the Jews of the world. In biblical times, the land of Israel copnsisted of a great deal more area than the tiny modern Israel. So, if you intended the "zionist israel" remark to be a negative, which I suspect you did, then you are in a distinct minority of haters. Also, I don't see that being a zionist has anything to do with being a "neocon".

  25. This publication obviously supports Ron Paul and is helping to re-elect Barack Obama! As they do the bidding of the democrats attempting to destroy all opposition to Ron Paul, they lead the people to a choice of Ron Paul or Barack Obama. Well, I don't like the foriegn policy of either one so I would go third party, knowing full well that my worst expectations will occur. That is Obama being reelected.
I like a lot of what Ron Paul has to say, but his foriegn policy destroys it all. He is very weak on defense at a time we need to be strong.
If Obama gets reelected, conditions will really get bad and you will see riots, food shortages, fuel shortages, energy shortages, and costs on everything rise (possibly double or more). You won't recognize the U.S. after 4 more years of Obama. His civilian army consists of the Unions, Acorn (still exists) and the New Blank Panthers.
But, keep on tearing down all the opposition for the Republican nomination to support Ron Paul. He has skeletons in his closet as well! Your just supporting Obama by doing so!

  34. This is apparently a carefully contrived hit piece on Herman Cain to prop up Ron Paul as being the only viable Republican candidate. The only problem is that anyone with one-fifth of a brain cell can see right through it.

First of all, I recognize that there are no perfect candidates (no, not even Ron Paul). However, to suggest that "Herman Cain is Bad for America and not a Conservative", is as ludicrous as suggesting that I support the KKK (I am a very Black man). No, what's "bad for America" is a candidate (Paul) who does not understand the nature, intent, and scope of the many threats facing us; such naiveté can result in death and destruction to Americans worldwide. Cain’s past association with the Fed carries no such penalty.

Secondly, you who blindly support Ron Paul need to reassess all aspects of his platform. Although I also support many of his initiatives, there are certain issues that make him untenable as a candidate for me. Yet, if Paul was to win the nomination, I would support him over Obama without reservation. I’ve spoken to many Ron Paul supporters who publicly state that they will ONLY vote for Paul. If anyone else wins the nomination, they would rather sit on their hands, and not vote at all. I find that reprehensible and quite disturbing.

Finally, we need to recognize the extreme danger facing this nation if the Left is able to continue their unrelenting assault on our Republic. We, who claim to be on the Right, must come together like never before to defeat this idiocy—hit pieces like this do not help our cause.

  48. So you know.... many of your hits are from supporters of Herman Cain and possibly others who are simply checking out what is being said here and elsewhere. It was a relief to find incomplete, misleading, and at times completely false information. It's an even bigger relief to know that Americans truly are waking up and are not being mislead by rhetoric and 1/2 truths... doing there own homework and seeing who the strongest candidate for them is. Here's some food for thought.... when canidates and people have to try and bring down someone else to raise them self or their canidate of choice up. It's a good time to stop and ask yourself why? A good canidate doesn't have to step on someone else to raise themselves up.

  49. I think most of us that have been awakened by Ron Paul have been inspired to educate ourselves beyond what we are allowed to see by our controlled media establishment (TV and radio).
For the last 4 years we have been reading books on Austrian economics, the free market, US history, and many others.
We have been introduced to and read books written by and studied reports from the world’s foremost expert on suicide terrorism and the head of the CIA Osama Bin Laden unit.
In addition to watching CNN and Fox News and listing to WSB, we have been studying actual statistics and reports; and we now understand the dire repercussions of our foreign policy in the form of blowback.
We have been awakened to the false choice being orchestrated by our establishment political system, bankers, and media.
We have researched how the government has given a monopoly over our monetary system to a corrupt, private, international organization of bankers called the Federal Reserve. We understand how these crooks create money out of thin air to give to their rich friends, often in foreign countries; all while debasing the value of our money and making lower and middle class Americans poorer.
We have studied the constitution and how it is being twisted, circumvented, and generally used like a piece of toilet paper by both Democrats and Republicans.
We see how the president goes to war without proper congressional authorization; instead he commits our troops unilaterally or at the will of the United Nations undermining our national sovereignty.
I suppose we find it frustrating to see so many others willing to have an opinion, yet unwilling to do the same footwork…
We find it astonishing to watch others pick a candidate because they are a good motivational speaker, or because they are a “business-man”, or because they are good at clichés or sound bites or have a catch phrase, or because they had a talk radio show and you personally like the guy.
It is infuriating to witness others willingly overlook GLARING flaws in a candidate such as being friendly to the Federal Reserve… the institution that poses the greatest risk to our national security and that is directly responsible for destroying the American economy.
And really… 9-9-9… Shuffling means of tax revenue collection around isn’t going to solve our SPENDING PROBLEM. Have you guys looked at the numbers!

We are passionate because we have the opportunity to elect a true statesman!!!
Ron Paul predicted the financial collapse and has been fighting the policies that lead to it for 30 years.
He is an Austrian economic genius. He has defended the republic and ALWAYS voted the constitution.
He is the biggest defender of our individual liberties and personal property.
He has served our country in the Air Force.
He is always honest, and always consistent.
He has NEVER voted to raise taxes.
He has led a successful and virtuous life.
He is the only man who would address spending in a BIG way and drastically shrink the size of government.
He is the only chance we have to save our country and restore our republic!

  50. Cain still supports Romney & Gingrich the most among all other candidates. It's more than just past support of this liberal, a current interview says he has "full confidence" in Romney, more than all other candidates, if he can't get the GOP nomination. Here's the interview...
